About the Role

We are now seeking a confident and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to sell engineering solutions to large end users or original equipment manufacturers in their designated sales territory. Reporting to the Regional Manager, your primary focus is to drive sales by understanding and meeting the needs of our customers in the industrial automation, energy, rail, food & beverage, commercial vehicle and life sciences sectors.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an outcomes focussed individual who possesses the following skills and experience:

  • Graduate or equivalent with a commercial sales engineering background.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pneumatic equipment, including application and system design.
  • Highly developed organisational, time management, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proven record of success in business development in sales with a strong understanding and exposure to engineering and solution orientated selling
  • Able to identify commercial opportunities with customers and to keep the customers' interests front of mind, creating strong and in-depth relationships.
  • Intellectual strength and a high level of drive and personal commitment.
  • Experience in a metrics focused environment including weekly and monthly quarterly reporting and analysis.
  • The right to work in New Zealand and a drivers licence.
