About the Role

We now have an opportunity for a qualified Fitter & Turner to join our small and experienced team in Rowville.

Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will perform machine operator and fitter duties associated with cylinder and systems manufacturing/assembly workshop production. This includes periodic maintenance of tools and equipment; and actively participating in 5S & Lean initiatives to reduce unnecessary waste.

Normal hours of work will be 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, there will be a requirement to work some overtime.

About You

The successful candidate must have trade qualifications that are recognised in Australia, be energetic, reliable and hardworking.

Other skills and experience required:

  • Good skills on a centre lathe including machining to close tolerances and screw cutting
  • Experience in programming CNC Mori Seiki Lathe
  • Experience in programming CNC Makino M/C centre

Our facility is safe, clean and well-maintained. As such, you will need a strong commitment to health and safety along with experience working in a 5S & Lean environment.
